A Kinder Street Taco at Hussong’s Cantina

I had some business that was taking me over to Mandalay Place in between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor and what a great opportunity to be able to pay another visit to Hussong’s Cantina and sample some more wonderful from their new vegan menu. I had recently made my way back to their sister restaurant, Slice of Vegas Pizza, a few doors down and was wowed once again and I was craving their wonderful chips and salsa and something great from the menu.
I love street-style tacos and I tried the vegan Street Tacos with the Gardein Chick’n. Four corn tortillas filled with gently-spiced Gardein strips, pico de gallo, and cilantro. I added some of their wonderful salsa to it and I was ready to rock it Hussong’s style. The tacos were terrific with a little kick from the salsa and I enjoyed them with a bowl of their rice and beans. It was a perfect amount of food for me.
It is a bit of a challenge to find good plant-based Mexican food here in Las Vegas so Hussong’s Cantina fills a very important place on the vegan dining scene. It is also in a great location so people staying at either Mandalay Bay or Luxor have another fantastic option for lunch or dinner. I am going to have a wonderful time making my way back to Hussong’s and Slice of Vegas Pizza to make my way through all of the vegan menu selections. It will be a tough road but I am so very glad to do it…smiles.
