I have just one week left in my month of raw vegan eating and then it is back to my regular and wonderful vegan eating regimen with will probably now include a little higher percentage of raw foods in my diet. It has been a great experience and one that I am sure I will repeat in the years to come. I will be sharing a few recipes that I have enjoyed in the coming week as the month comes to an end.
Greens and Proteins has been a regular stopping point for me because of their location, great juices and smoothies, and a terrific raw section on their menu. One of the items that I had yet to try was the Raw Pizza. I have had a couple of other raw pizzas elsewhere and I was anxious to try the one at Greens and Proteins. It was delicious. A herb tomato sauce, raw cheese, portobello mushrooms, Kalamata olives, and diced tomatoes on a flax seed pizza crisp. It was light and bursting with flavor from the olives and remarkably only 353 calories.
I am already looking forward to my next regular visit to Proteins and Greens perhaps to try their Grilled Vegetable Wrap, Hummus and Pita, Vegan Garden Burger, or perhaps another go at their regular Vegan Pizza. I know I will back before then to try some other fantastic concoctions from the juice bar or maybe even their Raw Chili Cheese Fries. One way or another…I hope to see you there.
