Raw Lettuce Wrap and A Loaded Chiller

Not quite a week into my month-long raw vegan eating adventure here in Las Vegas and things are going remarkably well.  My energy is really good and I haven’t been craving anything except for maybe a little bread the first couple of days.  I have been having lots of fun things to munch on and I have not been hungry at all.  Down seven pounds without even trying.  I have had the chance to visit a few places out on the town and enjoy some raw foods to eat.  My journey brought me back to Greens and Proteins, one of my favorite places which is right near the 215 on Eastern near Henderson.

In case you haven’t had the pleasure yet, Greens and Proteins is very vegan-friendly with a number of vegan options on the menu and a full juice bar. They also have a raw vegan food section.  I started things off with a delicious Loaded Antioxidant Chiller, made with green grapes, blueberries, pomegranate, and agave nectar.  It was refreshing and delicious.  I then ordered the Mock Chicken Lettuce Wraps…a mock chicken salad in a butter leaf lettuce cup topped with sprouts and tomatoes.  It also had a wonderful dipping sauce to go along with it.  It was a light meal with lots of flavor and goodness throughout it.

There are vegan options in salads, small pickings, pizzas, burgers, and wraps to go along with the juice bar and raw section.  As I was go out the door I noticed one of their write-ups on the wall…it said Eating Vegan in Vegas…wait, that’s me.  Nice of them to take one of my blog posts and put it up on the wall for all to read.  It’s kind of a mutual love thing and you are all invited to join in…smiles.
