Perhaps there are those of you who have had the opportunity to make your way to Fresh Mama on Rainbow between Russell and 215 since their soft opening in April.  If you have, you have found a restaurant that is going to be another great place for vegetarians, vegans, and the v-curious to go to fill their need for plant-based goodness.  Fresh Mama occupies space in a large white building that you no doubt have driven by and also houses some other health and wellness businesses such as Vegas Hot Yoga and Pilates and the Wise Chiropractic Holistic Wellness Center.   Fresh Mama is a great addition to the great work and vibe that is already going on in that building.

Fresh Mama features a number of featured vegetarian and vegan wraps and salads or you can create your own from a selection of wraps, spreads, and vegetables.  They also feature tamales from our friends at the Arizona Tamale Factory.  This is one of the few places in town where you can actually get your hands on delicious vegan tamales.  Fresh Mama also features a great line-up of fresh smoothies under the categories of Boost/Energy, Replenish/Nutrition, Hydrate/Electrolytes, and Recover/Protein.  They offer a great special for a combo of a smoothie and salad or wrap for only $9.99.

I ordered a combo of a Scarlet Scorpion Smoothie with grapes, strawberries, lemon, and spinach.  It was wonderful.  I ordered along with it a Spicy Thai Wrap, which was a rice paper wrap, romaine lettuce, red onion, jalapeno, cabbage, and cilantro. The halves are each wrapped collard greens to keep from sticking together.  It comes with a tahini almond butter dipping sauce that is just incredible to dip the wrap into.  It was a terrific combo.

They have some other raw food items and drinks available in the cooler case. They will be celebrating their grand opening on Saturday, July 28 but you don’t have to wait till then to enjoy all that they have to offer.  It is a great space they are in and has loads of potential for being a great spot to hang out and enjoy some great plant-based food.  Go and give them some love…their “freshetarian” delights await you.
