Pasta to Please at Bootlegger Bistro

The Bootlegger Bistro has been an institution here in Las Vegas since 1949.  Someplace  you can go any time of the day or night…get a bite to eat…grab a drink…watch a game…enjoy some live entertainment…or just watch the people.  You really never know who will pop in.  While wearing a nice suit and tie in the plush booth in the bar I felt that Marlon and Al could sidle up to me at any point and share a plate.

There are definitely a few things you can make work on the menu at Bootlegger.  I decided to go with the Spinach Pasta Primavera.  I just asked them to change the light broth they used for olive oil instead and to make sure that butter wasn’t used anywhere in the process.  It does not come with parmesan so there no need to ask them to leave it off.  The wonderful spinach pasta was topped with broccoli, sun dried tomatoes, shaved garlic, and zucchini.  A delightful combination and cooked to perfection. The little garlic bread squares and marinara are not vegan so you can ask for something else to go along with the meal.

Sometimes a great plate of pasta and vegetables is all the fuel that I need.  It also my go-to comfort food.  You can imagine that Bootlegger Bistro might know a little something about pasta and I am glad that they do.  That makes for a very comfortable night for me.
