The Happiest Hour at Geisha House

imageimage My lovely friend April has encouraged me to go and try some of the vegan sushi rolls at Geisha House and after that sweet little nudge I found myself not only at Geisha House but sitting at the sushi bar in the midst of what they call The Happiest Hour.  How great is that? It seems that seven days a week at the sushi bar from 5:00-7:00 p.m. all large sake, Japanese beers, and appetizers are only $5.00 and it is 30% off of all sushi.  After order a nice cold bottle of Sapporo beer (vegan-friendly) and waiting for my order, I was awash in happiness.

April had encouraged me to try the vegetable tempura as well…which I did. There is no egg or dairy in the tempura batter that they use, which is wonderful.  I got a nice basket of  carrots, zucchini, onions, and asparagus and dipped them in a little soy sauce and it brought…more happiness.  They then brought out my vegan sushi roll.  You just have to ask for it…it is not on the menu…just say you want the April vegan special and hopefully they will know what you want.  Smiles.  The roll was a beautiful combination of cucumber, avocado, carrots, asparagus, and pickled onion.  Combined with my dear friend Mr. Wasabi, we were definitely in a happy, happy place.  A beautiful and delicious vegan sushi roll.

It was a wonderful time spent.  An ice-cold Sapporo and watching the Washington Nationals and Las Vegan phenom Bryce Harper play winning baseball.  Vegetable Tempura and a terrific vegan sushi roll.  All for much less than you would think.  I came in happy and left even happier.  What more could you ask for on a beautiful Sunday evening in Las Vegas?
