Eating Vegan In Vegas

A City View, Airplanes, and More Falafel

I found out where everyone had gone to lunch…it seems like they were all at Fresh Kabob on E. Sunset across from the airport.  The place was packed and people were eating in and taking out at an incredible rate.  It is really a great place to have lunch or dinner because you have such a great view of the Strip along with the planes landing and taking off at McCarran.  Day or night…it is a great view.  I had come in a while ago and had one of the vegan-friendly options on the menu, The Veggie Kabob plate.  It was very enjoyable. They have another veg option, the French Fry Wrap, but I decided to go for the Falafel Wrap.

I love the Persian Taftoon bread that they wrap their meals in.  The Falafel Wrap is a great deal for under five dollars.  Warm, fresh Persian bread stuffed with falafel pieces, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, sprinkled with lemon juice.  Substitute the tahini sauce instead of the green sauce that it normally comes with.  I even threw on a few chiles for good measure.  It was an absolute pleasure to eat.

Fresh Kabob takes a little different approach to Mediterranean food and it works and is obviously appreciated by the numbers of people who find their way there during the lunch hour.  They have a number of the traditional sides available that are vegan-friendly as well.  If you want some great Mediterranean food with a view, Fresh Kabob is somewhere you will want to be.
