A Bowl of Italian Comfort and Love

I could not resist…I had to make my way back to Slice of Vegas Pizza in the Mandalay Place and enjoy some more of what that they have to offer.  This new restaurant is not only close by one of my places of work, but I love the vegan-friendly offerings that they have.  You read about the my amazing experience last week with the vegan pizza and chocolate-peanut butter cake.  Oh my wonderful.

When I was in Slice of Vegas Pizza last week I noticed the gnocchi, those little pillows of potato pasta and wondered what they would be like paired with one of the amazing sauces they have and some grilled vegetables.  I love gnocchi.  On my one trip to Italy I had gnocchi wherever I could and had it many different ways.  Make sure that you let your server know that you want it vegan-style with no cheese on top.  This turned out to be an amazing dish…a wide bowl of true comfort and love.  The gnocchi was nice and plump and the sauce was absolutely delicious and the pieces of grilled veggies mixed in perfectly.  This was as good a plate of gnocchi as I can remember.

A little while after finishing my meal I was able to meet up with a lovely Australian family that was here in Las Vegas on vacation.  We had connected through the blog here and this is one of the perks of being able to connect with so many people from all over. Eventually, so many of them find their way to Las Vegas.  It is always such a pleasure to meet them if the opportunity presents itself.   They loved the vegan pizza at Slice of Vegas Pizza and were able to enjoy Daiya for the first time.  So, as you can see, people are coming near and far to Slice of Vegas Pizza.  Just remember there is more than just pizza awaiting you…
